Welcome to the official homepage for the Mississippi State University Student Chapter of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).

ACM is an international organization for computer professionals. It is the oldest computer organization that exists today. The ACM exists in both international and local chapters. The International ACM has its own homepage. Much information about ACM can be found there.

Programming Competition Results: The Student Chapter of the ACM held a programming competition on Friday, September 26. Eight contestants participated. Each contestant was given a set of four problems to solve in 3 hours 15 minutes. All contestants solved at least one problem. Two contestants solved three of the four problems. Following is the list of the contestants that finished at the top:

1st place (solved 3 of 4 in the shortest time): Daniel Cranford
2nd place (solved 3 of 4): Daniel Wilson
3rd place (solved 2 of 4): William Panlener

Over 300 processors have been protein folding for MSU. This team has grown more than we had ever expected. Because of our efforts we have blasted our way into the top 100 teams in the world.
