General Information

CSE has several scholarship opportunities for current students that will be awarded on an annual basis through an application process in the spring semester. Application for these scholarships is made online through myState. Information on how to apply is available here Complete applications will be considered for each of the following scholarships opportunities that the student is qualified for. For the 2017-18 academic year, applications must be completed by March 31, 2017.

C-Spire Foundation

  • US Citizen from MS, AL or TN
  • 3.0 GPA and 25 ACT
  • Any classification
  • $3,000 (payable in two $1,500 semesters)

Brad Carter Scholarship

  • Junior/Senior Standing
  • 3.0 or better GPA
  • CS or SE major
  • $1,000 (payable in two $500 semesters)

Susan & Philip Bridges Scholarship in CSE

  • MSU GPA of 2.5 or better
  • Demonstrated financial need
  • CS or SE major
  • $2,000 (payable in two $1,000 semesters)

Julia Hodges Scholarship

  • Full-time CS major
  • 3.0 or better GPA
  • $1,000 (payable in two $500 semesters)

Goudelock Scholarship for Computer Science and Engineering

  • MSU GPA of 3.0 or better
  • CS, CPE or SE junior or senior
  • Good academic standing with no honor code infractions
  • $1,000 (payable in two $500 semesters)

Bomgar Scholarship

  • Majoring in computer science, software engineering or computer engineering
  • 3.0 or higher GPA
  • Junior and senior undergraduates or masters students
  • $1,600 (payable in two $800 semesters)

Information Security Scholarship

The cyber security scholarship opportunity for the 2013-2014 academic year has closed. If you are interested in applying for the scholarship next year, expect to see a new application package around the end of November. In the meantime, you can look at the files below to see what the application will most likely look like. One file contains background information on the scholarship program and basic requirements. The other contains the actual application form itself. When the new application is available, it should be completed and returned along with supporting letters of recommendation (on letterhead stationary) around the 1st of February.
