Computer Science and Engineering Ambassador Team - [ Undergraduate Studies ]

Leah Buttrum is a senior majoring in Software Engineering. Leah is a transfer student, having previously attended Itawamba Community College where she received a Associate of Arts degree. Leah says she chose an engineering major because she has always been interested in how things work, and her computing interest is in the area of computer security.

Tiffany Fairley is a senior majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Computer Forensics.  She has also completed courses in Criminology. Tiffany is a Resident Advisor and a member of the Society of Women Engineers and the Theta Tau Professional Engineering Fraternity. She is also interested in web site development and is a part of the website committee in Theta Tau.

Austin Grace is a junior from Chelsea, Alabama, majoring in Computer Science and minoring in Spanish. Austin became interested in working with technology during his high school career when he began disassembling mobile devices and modifying their software. In addition to CSE Ambassadors, Austin is involved with Beta Upsilon Chi National Christian Fraternity, Shackouls Honors College, National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and the Mississippi State University Department of Housing and Residence Life as a Resident Adviser.

Tyler Greer earned a Bachelorís Degree in Mathematics from the Mississippi University for Women. She is currently working towards a Masterís Degree in Computer Science. She is a member of the Ballroom Dance Club and MSU Spectrum.

Nathan Hendrix is a senior Software Engineering major from Taft, TN. He is involved with the Famous Maroon Band, State Singers, Theatre MSU, and Blitz! MSU Show Choir. Nathan has been an intern for Northrop Grumman on the IBCS and GMD Programs.

Derek Love is a senior from Huntsville, Alabama. He is majoring in Computer Science with a concentration in Information Assurance. Ever since he graduated from high school, Derek has made his goal to work for the government when he graduates. He is a member of the Bagley College of Engineering Dean's Advisory Team, Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., Mississippi State's Cyber Corps, and the Computer Science Professional Society: Association for Computing Machinery.

Victoria Sater is a senior majoring in Software Engineering and minoring in Mathematics. She primarily enjoys web development but is also very interested in Artificial Intelligence. In her spare time, she likes volunteering with humane societies, nerding out over Doctor Who, and reading fiction and articles on programming.

Ashley Stallings is a sophomore computer science major from Memphis, Tennessee. She is a member of the Association for Computing Machinery and a certified rock wall belayer for MSU Outdoor Adventures. In her spare time she enjoys reading (especially Harry Potter), learning about computers, and being physically active. She hopes to one day combine her passion for computers and fitness to start her own company designing technologically innovative health equipment.

Lauren Taylor is a senior majoring in Software Engineering. She is from Biloxi, Ms. She is a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Association for Computing Machinery, and is a senator for the Bagley College of Engineering. She enjoys web development and hopes to own her own online clothing store one day

Zachary Thomas is a sophomore Computer Science major.  He is from Long Beach, Mississippi and enjoys playing basketball, tennis, football, and ultimate frisbee.  In addition to CSE Ambassadors, he is a part of Shackouls Honors College, ACM, and Alpha Phi Omega Service Fraternity.  His interest in Computer Science was sparked at an early age with his first encounter of a computer virus, which hindered his ability to play the popular internet game Neopets.

Stephon Thornton is a sophomore Software Engineering major. He says that technology is something that always interested him and found his love in Information Security. He has experience in multiple programming languages and loves being able to create anything he has an interest in. Also, one day he wants to own his own information security firm, testing the network security of many large companies, assuring the data they possess is secure. In addition to his studies in software engineering, Stephon serves Starkville and Rankin County, MS as a firefighter.

Rian Walker is a freshman Computer Science major from Ocean Springs MS. Rian is an NCWIT Aspirations in Computer regional winner and national runner-up. In the summer of 2014, through an NCWIT AspireIT Grant, Rian hosted a summer camp for middle school girls at MSU. Rian has long had an interest in computing, and hopes to own her own technology company one day.
