Joining MSU ACM

Why Join an ACM Student Chapter?

As a full time student you're eligible to join ACM at a greatly reduced rate off the Voting Member rate.

The MSU Student Chapter of the ACM tries to provide meaningful activities throughout the year for students interested in computing. Some of the activities we are involved in include monthly socials, programming contests, resume books that are sent to prospective employers, and visiting guest lecturers. We typically have a picnic every semester also.

The ACM Student Chapter provides ample opportunities for students to get involved with an active organization. Dues at the local level are $6 for the academic year. As a member, you are eligible to participate in all ACM activities at MSU and are put on our ACM mailing list. You will receive e-mail messages about all of our upcoming events. To become a member, contact any one of the ACM officers.

Also, if you are interested in being an international ACM member, the membership fees are $27 per year. Applications can be obtained in Butler Room 300. Membership includes a subscription to Communications of the ACM, as well as a subscription to Crossroads, the Student Magazine. Additionally, you may add the ACM Digital Library package for an additional $10.00. You may preview the Digital Library. Whether or not you subscribe, you have access to the citations database--with bibliographic information on thousands of ACM articles.
