I am an Associate Professor of computer science and engineering within the James Worth Bagley College of Engineering, Mississippi State University. My research lies at at the intersection of scientific and information visualization: specifically, I seek to better understand the foundations of these disciplines to increase their effectiveness. I also apply visualization to problems in bioinformatics, computer security, social networks, and other domains. I teach courses revolving around visualization and visual analytics; in addition, I frequently teach the computer graphics and game design courses.
